The Names so Far

Every name tells a Great War story

New names come from many places: families who tell us about a forgotten relative; cemetery and archive research; Canadian Expeditionary Force personnel files at Library and Archives Canada; historical newspapers; school rolls of honour; and the men named on the cenotaph plaque itself. Each addition helps us grow these lists and better understand the South Vancouver men connected to the Great War. The cenotaph itself holds no names, but the plaque and records help preserve their memory.

This is who we know about so far.

Names shared by a local Family

Descendants who have come forward to share what they know. Each is in active research with the family.
